Program Description
Within The Palestinian Innovation & Entrepreneurship Catalyst Program (PIEC); The Artificial Intelligence Innovation Challenge, in collaboration with STEMpire, aimed to drive innovation by addressing real-world challenges through artificial intelligence. This hackathon invited participants from sectors like transportation, finance, education, agriculture, and healthcare to explore AI-driven solutions for pressing issues.
Participants entered the challenge with initial ideas or challenges to solve. Through intensive workshops, they gained awareness of how AI can be applied in diverse sectors. They attended lighting talks on entrepreneurial and innovative thinking, where industry experts shared key concepts, strategies, and success stories. Participants also engaged in sector-specific lectures covering topics like AI’s status in Palestine and the MENA region, AI ethics, and sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
With expert guidance and mentorship, participants had access to tools and resources that helped them refine and develop their ideas. Participants collaborated, learned, and iterated on their ideas, transforming them into innovative solutions. The challenge’s core objective was to inspire the development of AI applications that could create meaningful change, solving complex challenges across industries and driving future progress.
