Ramallah, April 20, 2026 — The Palestinian Ministry of Women’s Affairs, in partnership with Flow Accelerator under the Orange Corners PT program funded by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and with the strategic partnership of the National Bank (TNB), organized the “HerStory | Connect & Inspire” event at A.M. Qattan Foundation in Ramallah. The event brought together leaders from the Palestinian entrepreneurial ecosystem, the private sector, international institutions, and civil society, alongside broad participation from women entrepreneurs, professionals, and changemakers.
In her opening remarks, Minister of Women’s Affairs H.E. Mona Al-Khalili affirmed that “women’s economic empowerment is not merely a fundamental right, it is a national necessity for building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable economy. Amid the difficult challenges we face and the economic and social repercussions of the aggression that directly impact women’s lives, exceptional stories of resilience emerge, women who have continued to work, produce, and lead despite all circumstances. This makes supporting women today a doubly urgent national priority, not only for empowerment, but to strengthen the resilience of our society as a whole.”
Minister of National Economy H.E. Mohammad Al-Amour stated in his address that the Ministry of National Economy is working to develop a legislative and regulatory environment supportive of entrepreneurship, contributing to women’s empowerment, and enhancing their participation in economic activity. He pointed to the adoption of the E-Commerce Law, which regulates trade operations and protects the rights of all parties, including women. He added that the Ministry is working to advance digital transformation through the electronic company registration portal, which simplifies registration procedures and saves time and effort for both women and men entrepreneurs alike. He affirmed that the government, through its various policies and measures, seeks to facilitate women’s access to economic opportunities and strengthen their presence in decision-making positions, emphasizing that women, with their leadership capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and accumulated expertise, deserve to be in positions of leadership and decision-making, and that the 30% quota is a supportive step toward reinforcing this presence and enabling women to take their natural role in leading economic development.
Majd Khalifeh, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Flow Accelerator, said: “Entrepreneurship in Palestine is no longer a choice; it has become a genuine economic necessity. In a context characterized by a limited market due to geography, occupation, and restrictions on movement, exports, and imports, the only resource that cannot be confiscated or besieged is Palestinian human capital, and that is our true raw material upon which we build our economy. At Flow Accelerator, for over eight years, we have worked systematically with more than 280 startups to remove the barriers that prevented women from occupying their natural space, building an integrated environment where women are an original part of the ecosystem, not a special case or a side track. The result: 40% of the startups we support today are led by women, and that number did not come by chance; it came because we created the conditions that enable women to enter, compete, persist, and succeed on equal terms.” She added: “The ‘HerStory’ event is part of the strategic ‘PowHER’ pillar within the Orange Corners program, a pillar aimed at building a community of women entrepreneurs and those around them, because success breeds success, but it needs a space that brings these successes together and makes them visible, tangible, and replicable.”
The Ministry of Women’s Affairs advisor Dr. Hanna Nakhla delivered an interactive presentation on the directions of the 19th Government and the Ministry’s programs in the area of girls’ economic empowerment, reviewing the key interventions and policies the Ministry is working on to expand women’s access to economic resources and enhance their participation across various sectors, with a focus on linking government programs to available opportunities within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The event also featured an expanded panel discussion on programs available for women’s empowerment in entrepreneurship and technology, with participation from Rand Safi of Gaza Sky Geeks, Dina Al-Masaeid of Spark, Lama Amro of BuildPalestine, and Dr. Mona Dmaidi, Vice President of the Arab American University for Artificial Intelligence and Chairperson of the Intersect Hub. The session was moderated by Leen Abubakr, Palestine Country Director of Flow Accelerator. Participants highlighted key initiatives and programs offered by their organizations and the challenges women face in accessing funding and training, affirming that strengthening the integration of efforts among supporting entities is a critical factor in sustaining entrepreneurial ventures, particularly in innovative sectors.
In an open “Fireside Chat” session on leadership and women’s empowerment, Majd Khalifeh led a direct conversation with Minister H.E. Mona Al-Khalili covering the challenges and opportunities facing women in entrepreneurial and leadership pathways, the government’s vision, personal story, the gap between government policies and the reality of women entrepreneurs on the ground, the importance of investing in women’s capacities and strengthening their presence in decision-making positions, and the complementary roles of government, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the private sector in supporting Palestinian women’s economic empowerment.
The event also included an interactive segment titled “Faces That Made a Difference,” facilitated by Heba Hamarsheh, Business and Community Development Manager at Flow Accelerator, aimed at spotlighting inspiring Palestinian women entrepreneurs and leaders through the Mentimeter interactive platform. Walaa Kashou, Co-Founder and Head of Products at Churn Solution, and Aisha Amer, President of the Women’s Charitable Society in Masha, shared their experiences and stories in the “Moments of HER” segment, highlighting key turning points in their professional journeys and shedding light on the role of personal branding and the ability to adapt to challenges in achieving success and sustainability.
In a practical, hands-on workshop, Walaa Samara, Director of Technopark, focused on positioning strategies and personal branding, including equipping participants with practical tools to help them develop an impactful professional presence on digital platforms and beyond, and to enhance their access to markets and build supportive professional networks.
The event concluded with an interactive networking session titled “She Connects,” which provided participants with the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences, and build lasting professional relationships in an interactive atmosphere, bringing together women entrepreneurs, advisors, and representatives of supporting institutions.
The event served as a unifying national platform that celebrated women’s leadership and contributed to strengthening connections among women entrepreneurs and changemakers in Palestine, spotlighting inspiring models and available programs in support of building a more inclusive and sustainable Palestinian economy.
وزارة شؤون المرأة ومسرّعة الأعمال “فلو” تنظمان فعالية “قصتها – تواصل وإلهام” بدعم من شركاء دوليين ومحليين
رام الله، ٢٠ نيسان ٢٠٢٦ — نظمت وزارة شؤون المرأة الفلسطينية بالشراكة مع مسرّعة الأعمال “Flow Accelerator”، ضمن برنامج “Orange Corners” المموّل من حكومة مملكة هولندا، وبشراكة استراتيجية من البنك الوطني (TNB)، فعالية “قصتها – تواصل وإلهام” في مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطان بمدينة رام الله، إلى جانب قيادات من المنظومة الريادية الفلسطينية والقطاع الخاص والمؤسسات الدولية والمجتمع المدني، ومشاركة واسعة من رائدات الأعمال والمهنيات وصانعات التغيير.
وأكدت وزيرة شؤون المرأة الأستاذة منى الخليلي في كلمتها الافتتاحية أن “تمكين المرأة اقتصادياً لا يقتصر على كونه حقاً أساسياً، بل هو ضرورة وطنية لبناء اقتصاد أكثر عدالة وشمولاً واستدامة. وفي ظل التحديات الصعبة التي نعيشها وما يخلّفه العدوان من تداعيات اقتصادية واجتماعية تمس بشكل مباشر حياة النساء، تبرز قصص صمود استثنائية لنساء واصلن العمل والإنتاج والريادة رغم كل الظروف، وهو ما يجعل من دعم النساء اليوم أولوية وطنية مضاعفة، ليس فقط للتمكين، بل لتعزيز صمود مجتمعنا ككل.”
وأكد وزير الاقتصاد الوطني محمد العامور في كلمته أن وزارة الاقتصاد الوطني تعمل على تطوير البيئة التشريعية والتنظيمية الداعمة لريادة الاعمال، بما يسهم في تمكين المرأة وتعزيز مشاركتها في النشاط الاقتصادي، مشيراً الى اعتماد قانون التجارة الالكترونية الذي ينظم عمليات التجارة ويحمي حقوق المتعاملين، بما فيهم النساء. واضاف ان الوزارة تعمل على تعزيز التحول الرقمي من خلال بوابة تسجيل الشركات الالكترونية، التي تسهل اجراءات تسجيل الشركات وتختصر الوقت والجهد على الرياديات والرياديين على حد سواء، مؤكداً أن الحكومة تسعى من خلال سياساتها واجراءاتها المختلفة الى تسهيل وصول النساء الى الفرص الاقتصادية وتعزيز حضورهن في مواقع صنع القرار، مشددا على ان النساء بما يمتلكن من قدرات قيادية وريادية وخبرات متراكمة يستحققن التواجد في مواقع القيادة وصنع القرار، وان نسبة 30% تشكل خطوة داعمة لتعزيز هذا الحضور وتمكين المرأة من اخذ دورها الطبيعي في قيادة مسارات التنمية الاقتصادية
وقالت مجد خليفة، المديرة التنفيذية والشريكة المؤسِّسة في مسرّعة الأعمال “فلو”: “الريادة في فلسطين لم تعد خياراً، بل أصبحت ضرورة اقتصادية حقيقية، ففي سياق يتّسم بمحدودية السوق بحكم الجغرافيا والاحتلال والقيود المفروضة على الحركة والتصدير والاستيراد، يبقى المورد الوحيد الذي لا يمكن مصادرته أو محاصرته هو رأس المال البشري الفلسطيني — وهو مادتنا الخام الحقيقية التي نبني عليها اقتصادنا. ونحن في ‘فلو’ عملنا على مدار ثماني سنوات مع أكثر من ٢٨٠ شركة ناشئة، بشكل ممنهج على إزالة الحواجز التي كانت تحول دون وجود المرأة في مساحتها الطبيعية — فبنينا بيئة متكاملة تكون فيها المرأة جزءاً أصيلاً من المنظومة لا حالة خاصة ولا مساراً جانبياً. والنتيجة كانت أن ٤٠٪ من الشركات الناشئة التي ندعمها اليوم تقودها نساء، وهذا الرقم لم يأتِ بالصدفة، بل جاء لأننا هيّأنا الظروف التي تمكّن المرأة من الدخول والمنافسة والاستمرار والنجاح بنفس الشروط”. وأضافت خليفة: “فعالية ‘قصتها’ تأتي ضمن محور ‘PowHER’ الاستراتيجي في برنامجOrange Corners، وهو محور يهدف إلى بناء مجتمع من الرياديات وحولهن — لأن النجاح يولّد نجاحاً، لكنه يحتاج إلى مساحة تجمع هذه النجاحات وتجعلها مرئية وملموسة وقابلة للتكرار.”
وقدّم مستشار وزيرة شؤون المرأة الدكتور حنا نخلة عرضاً تفاعلياً تناول فيه توجهات الحكومة التاسعة عشر وبرامج الوزارة في مجال التمكين الاقتصادي للفتيات، حيث استعرض أبرز التدخلات والسياسات التي تعمل عليها الوزارة لتوسيع فرص وصول النساء إلى الموارد الاقتصادية وتعزيز مشاركتهن في مختلف القطاعات، مع التركيز على الربط بين البرامج الحكومية والفرص المتاحة ضمن المنظومة الريادية.
كما شهدت الفعالية جلسة نقاشية موسّعة حول البرامج المتوفرة لتمكين النساء في مجالات الريادة والتكنولوجيا، بمشاركة رند صافي من “غزة سكاي جيكس” ودينا المساعيد من مؤسسة “سبارك” ولمى عمرو من “بيلدباليستاين” والدكتورة منى ضميدي نائبة رئيس الجامعة العربية الأمريكية للذكاء الاصطناعي ورئيسة مجلس إدارة حاضنة انترسكت، وأدارتها لين أبو بكر مديرة مكتب فلسطين لمسرّعة الأعمال “فلو”. واستعرضت المشاركات أبرز المبادرات والبرامج التي تقدّمها مؤسساتهن والتحديات التي تواجه النساء في الوصول إلى التمويل والتدريب، مؤكدات أن تعزيز تكامل الجهود بين الجهات الداعمة يشكّل عنصراً حاسماً في دعم استدامة المشاريع الريادية، خاصة في القطاعات الابتكارية.
وفي جلسة حوارية مفتوحة بصيغة “Fireside Chat” حول القيادة وتمكين المرأة، أدارت مجد خليفة حواراً مباشراً مع معالي الوزيرة منى الخليلي تناول التحديات والفرص التي تواجه النساء في المسارات الريادية والقيادية، والرؤية الحكوميّة والقصّة الشخصيّة والفجوة بين السياسات الحكومية وواقع الرياديات على الأرض، وأهمية الاستثمار في قدرات النساء وتعزيز حضورهن في مواقع صنع القرار، وتكامل الأدوار بين الحكومة والمنظومة الريادية والقطاع الخاص في دعم التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة الفلسطينية.
وتخلّلت الفعالية فقرة تفاعلية بعنوان “وجوه صنعت الفرق” أدارتها هبة حمارشة مديرة تطوير الأعمال وتنمية المجتمع في مسرّعة الأعمال “فلو”، هدفت إلى التعريف بشخصيات نسائية ورياديّة فلسطينيّة ملهمة عبر منصة Mentimeter التفاعلية. كما استعرضت كل من ولاء قشوع الشريكة المؤسِّسة ومديرة قسم المنتجات في شركة “Churn Solution” وعائشة عامر رئيسة الجمعية النسوية الخيرية في مسحة تجاربهما وقصّتهما ضمن فقرة“Moments of HER”، حيث شاركتا أبرز محطات التحوّل في رحلتهما المهنية مسلّطتين الضوء على دور بناء العلامة الشخصية والقدرة على التكيّف مع التحديات في تحقيق النجاح والاستمرارية.
وفي جانب عملي تفاعلي، قدّمت ولاء سمارة مديرة الحديقة التكنولوجية الفلسطينية ورشة عمل متخصصة حول استراتيجيات التموضع وبناء العلامة الشخصية، ركّزت على تزويد المشاركات بأدوات عملية تساعدهن على تطوير حضور مهني مؤثر على المنصات الرقمية وخارجها وتعزيز فرصهن في الوصول إلى الأسواق وبناء شبكات علاقات داعمة.
واختُتمت الفعالية بجلسة تشبيك تفاعلية تحت عنوان “She Connects” أتاحت للمشاركات فرصة التعارف وتبادل الخبرات وبناء علاقات مهنية مستدامة، في أجواء تفاعلية جمعت رائدات الأعمال والمستشارات وممثلات المؤسسات الداعمة.
وجاءت هذه الفعالية كمنصة وطنية جامعة احتفت بالقيادة النسوية وأسهمت في تعزيز التواصل بين النساء الرياديات وصانعات التغيير في فلسطين، وتسليط الضوء على النماذج الملهمة والبرامج المتاحة، بما يدعم توجهات بناء اقتصاد فلسطيني أكثر شمولاً واستدامة.
