As part of the Green Launchpad track under the Green Forward Programme, Flow Accelerator delivered a focused Mini Masterclass on Designing Green Project Proposals. The session aimed to strengthen the capacity of Business Support Organizations (BSOs) to access green funding opportunities through targeted knowledge transfer, while also supporting MSMEs in securing finance by designing strong, well-structured project proposals aligned with donor and financial institution requirements, and grounded in the Palestinian market context.
Held at Flow Accelerator’s offices on 9 February 2026, the masterclass brought together BSOs participating in the Green Forward programme, creating a dedicated learning space for practitioners working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and enterprise support. The session was designed to move beyond theory, equipping participating BSOs with practical tools and applied methodologies to formulate a strong, and context-responsive green project proposals.
The masterclass was led by Majd Khalifeh, Managing Partner and Co-founder of Flow Accelerator and Managing Partner of Flow Ventures, who opened the first segment with an overview of the green project foundations. Her contribution covered problem definition and solution design, impact and implementation planning, budget logic and cost justification, partnerships, risk management, and proposal packaging using practical tools and examples.
The second segment, delivered by Shahd Rimawi, Head of the Microfinance Section at FATEN, focused on the MSME readiness for green finance, including key eligibility and assessment criteria, readiness indicators, and available green finance opportunities relevant to the Palestinian context.
This session reinforced the role of the Green Launchpad track in supporting BSOs as institutional anchors within Palestine’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. By strengthening their technical capacity and solidifying their knowledge in proposal development, the masterclass contributed to enhancing MSMEs’ readiness to engage with green and sustainable finance providers.
The Green Forward Programme is funded by the European Union and implemented at the meso level by SPARK and Flow Accelerator in Palestine, with the objective of advancing a green and circular economy across the Southern Neighbourhood region.
