Program Description
Within The Palestinian Innovation & Entrepreneurship Catalyst Program (PIEC); The FinTech Innovation Challenge, in collaboration with Birzeit University, focused on providing students, graduates, and professionals with a platform to address critical challenges within the financial technology sector. Designed for aspiring entrepreneurs in the FinTech space, the hackathon encouraged creativity and practical problem-solving to think of innovative solutions for real-world financial challenges.
The hackathon included lightning talks on entrepreneurial and innovative thinking, where industry experts shared valuable insights, strategies, and success stories. Additionally, lightning talks on the legal aspects of the FinTech sector covered important regulatory frameworks from the Palestinian Monetary Authority (PMA) and the Palestinian Capital Market Authority (PCMA), including compliance, licensing, and emerging trends.
Through collaborative workshops, hands-on activities, and guidance from expert mentors, participants crafted innovative solutions to tackle real-world challenges. By the end of the hackathon, they were expected to present groundbreaking ideas that could address critical issues and drive transformation in the FinTech sector.
